The Locket
Sam was frozen in place. Whatever this thing was, it was trying to kill her. It had short, ugly dark yellow stubs coming from's it's eyebrows, and it's face was a dark ruddy red. It's ugly, yellow teeth stuck out and saliva dripped from's it's mouth. It was dressed in goat wool, and it had no shoes whatsoever. It had a long, scared sword that it held over it's odd, egg shaped head. Sam didn't stand there long. The thing swung it's sword and Sam ducked. Her heart raced faster than her feet. "Quiet, little one, I fear you are near death." Sam laid her head back and closed her eyes. Everything swirled and she felt like throwing up. She felt strong, gentle arms picking her up and walking her to a horse. Then, she felt herself being swung up on the horse and the horse galloped off. Then, she passed out with fatigue.
