"Why do we lie?" A simlpe question little Allen asked.

Allen Thomas walked up to his mom on a hot morning. "Mommy, why do we lie?" He asked. Mrs. Thomas thought a moment. "Well, Allen, we are all born with sin in us. Sin came into the world when Adam and Eve sinnned. We talked about that in Bible-School, remember?" Allen nodded. "Well, some people lie so they get what they want. Some lie when they think they are going to get in trouble." "Like when Ginger lied 'cause she thought she was in trouble when she broke your vase?" Allen asked. Mrs. Thomas chuckled. "Yes, Allen. Some people lie because they are so used to lying, they just do it all the time." "Just like Drake? He lie's a lot, Mommy." Mrs. Thomas laughed. "Yes, your teenage brother does lie quite a lot, doesn't he?" Allen giggled. "But, Allen, did you know that God always forgives us everytime we sin? Butwe have to ask first. God love's us enough to give us His mercy." Allen hugged his mommy with teary eyes. "Mommy, i spilled my juice on my carpet, I'm sorry. Mrs. Thomas kissed her son. "Oh, sweetie, it's alright.
